• The eco-tourism island of Hungary: The eastern part of the lake, the Tisza-Lake Bird Reserve as part of the Hortobágy National Park has been a World Heritage location since 1999. For ornithologists and amateur interested in nature this area offers real hidden treasures: at the time of migrations organized boat trips make it possible to observe thousands of animals of different breeds You can take part on an amazing photo safari, or a longer canoe tour where you need all your stamina.
• „Catch the Tisza-lake”: The middle part of the lake is the largest single water area of Hungary where angling is possible in all 4 seasons. Anybody can catch one of the 50 different fish types hiding under the surface of the water, or even the catch of the lifetime. Well-built ports, experienced tour guides, angler-friendly accommodation and well-stocked angling shops await the enthusiasts of this sport.
• Tisza-lake splashdown: If you love sunshine and beaches, you can find what you are looking for on the gently sloping open-water beaches of the lake. The Abádszalók-bay is the huge, unbroken water area of the southern part of the Tisza-lake, where, uniquely in Europe, motorizes water-sport vehicles like jet-skis, water skis, water bananas or water bobs can be used, making this place a real paradise of water sports.

Tisza-lake „healing” –treatment: The Tisza-lake is also special because the natural water is surrounded by a circle of valuable thermal waters, so the thermal- and healing baths built here provide a good way of relaxation even in cooler days.
